Speaking Topics
Every speaker has their favorite topics and hot buttons to speak
on. These happen to be some of mine. Topics are flexible and can be tailored to your
group.
- Embracing Roots and Wings - Make peace with
your past while moving forward into the future. Janel shares
some of the spiritual lessons she learned about how she came to embrace her roots and yet, learned
how to take those roots and fly.
- Perspective - He said, she said. Half-full, half-empty.
Blue green or green blue? Much of life depends on your perspective.
So many things happen everyday where one person sees it one way
and someone else sees the same thing completely different. How does
God see it all? Janel shares what we can we learn by looking at
another person's perspective or more importantly, God's perspective.
- The God Connection - Have you struggled knowing
God? Do you struggle with his presence in you life? Are you baffled
at how he appears to be wrathful in the Old Testament, yet presented
as love in the New Testament? Knowing God is the most important
thing for a Christian. Janel offers some food for thought on the
hard things about God and sheds light on his character and personality.
- Gaining A Ph.D. in Trial and Prayer - A lot of
us want to have great faith. In order to do that, we have to get
our Ph.D. in trial and prayer. Janel inspires with her spiritual
"thesis" and Scripture to help you get yours.
- Frugality and Stewardship - Spend or save, buy
or sell, Providence or lucky find? God takes care of the birds of
the field, how will he take care of us? Janel shares her thoughts,
Biblical examples and experiences on how she's seen God provide
for mice and men.
- Growing Into Titus 2 - The passage in Titus 2
instructing the older women to teach the younger women wasn't suggestion.
We lack strong female mentor figures today in our American culture.
Janel offers thoughts on where to find a mentor and more importantly,
how a younger woman can grow to fulfill the command with no example
to learn from. (The

Event Music
With 30 years of piano playing experience, I love to blend
musical worship into my talks. I am most comfortable with
contemporary style worship music, but I also enjoy traditional
hymns. I can pick and choose either style of music for your workshop
or conference or you can choose to provide your own music for an event.
